How to I make a change?

Why do some listing say “Claim Listing”? What is this?

All information is published in the directory by the Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce. The website is setup so that each business owner may edit his or her own business listing. In order to do this, you must first make a claim to the listing. When you make a claim, you request Woodbridge Chamber to allow you to access and edit your listing. You will be supplied with a username and password.

Claiming a listing is not automated on purpose so that the chamber may properly verify the owner. This prevents fraudulent claims and unwanted or malicious editing of your listing.

Why do some listings have a photo?

Businesses that have listed their website in their listing automatically get a small thumbnail preview of their listing next to their name. If you do not have a website, nothing will be displayed.

Can I use a photo / logo instead of my website?

No. Only the website preview will be seen. There is no option for a logo or image.

What do I do if I don’t have a website?

Why does my website preview say “Mr. Wong” or something other then my site?

If you see this it means that no thumbnail has been generated for your site recently. The “Mr. Wong” or any other image is served from the third party company creating the image. Usually if you refresh the page after a few seconds, you will see that it is replaced with your website. Once the website is thumbnailed, you typically won’t see that default image again.

Why has my website preview not updated?

Thumbnails are generated from an outside third party company. The Woodbridge Chamber of Commerce nor the Webmaster have any control over when this is updated. Usually the thumbnail is updated from time to time, but no guarantee can be made.

Why do some listings have icons for Facebook, Twitter, etc?

When you claim your listing, you are able to add your Social Networking accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In and your Blog. If you do not have these setup, you can contact Advertising Solutions, Inc. at http://advertisingsolutions.net for assistance.

Why does the map not show my address correctly?

The Woodbridge Metro Chamber of Commerce uses a third party system to provide mapping. If your address is correct in your listing and the map is strill wrong, then the third party mapping your location is in error. The Chamber nor the Webmaster have any control over this.
